Puma - Placentia / Yorba Linda
The Puma is a group of Dads and Daughters mainly from the cities of Placentia/Yorba Linda, with many families attending Friends Christian School.
This program gives fathers the opportunity to bond with your daughter(s) on many levels and build a loving relationship that will last a lifetime. For daughters, this program gives the girls a wide circle of friends that often become more like a large family. The girls build self-esteem, develop a strong sense of identity and of personal accomplishment. Together, you’ll see and do things that you otherwise might not have the opportunity to do, including camping, kayaking, hiking, swimming, archery, sledding, campfires, skits … and s’mores! The girls put on skits and sing songs, play games and tell stories.
Our circle will generally hold one circle meeting per month. Our meetings will consist of structured achievement goals, some craft time, some play time and some planning for Expedition events. Our circle is part of the California Wild Expedition. The Expedition is seven circles strong with over 200 girls and their fathers as members. Being a part of the greatest Expedition in the Adventure Guides Program has been a great opportunity for our girls; Our year is jam packed with awesome adventures and lasting memories. Looking forward to a great year!
Our Chant
Dads: We are the Pumas,
Daughters: the mighty, mighty Pumas.
Dads: Wherever we go, people want to know
Daughters: who we are, so we tell them:
ALL: "We are the Pumas, the mighty, mighty Pumas... Roar!!"
